Handpicked Markets was founded by Amanda and Charlene, two longtime makers, market organizers, and community supporters who proudly grew up in Delta and are now raising their families here as well.

Creativity and handmade culture have always been a huge part of our lives. From crafting and creating ourselves to supporting, attending, and participating in local markets for years, we’ve experienced firsthand the incredible talent and connection that exists within the handmade community.

Before officially joining forces, we each spent many years organizing markets independently, building relationships with vendors, small businesses, and local families throughout the community. In 2025, we came together to create Handpicked Markets, a shared vision built around supporting local makers and creating meaningful community experiences year-round.

Our goal is to help foster connection, creativity, and growth within the handmade community. Through curated markets, workshops, creative classes, and community initiatives, we strive to provide opportunities for small businesses to grow, collaborate, and thrive. We are passionate about creating welcoming spaces where local shoppers can discover unique handmade products while supporting talented artisans and makers close to home.

At the heart of everything we do is community, supporting local, giving back whenever we can, and creating events that bring people together in meaningful and inspiring ways.

Our Non-Profit Mission

Handpicked Markets was created to support and promote local artisans, makers, and small businesses through community markets, creative events, and educational opportunities. Our goal is to provide accessible and affordable spaces for vendors to showcase their work, connect with customers, and grow their businesses while strengthening our local community.

Through our events and initiatives, we aim to:

  • Support local artisans, makers, and small businesses by creating opportunities to showcase and sell handcrafted goods

  • Foster community connection through markets, workshops, and creative events

  • Encourage sustainable, locally made products and environmentally conscious business practices

  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and non-profits to create inclusive and educational experiences

  • Give back to the community by using proceeds from events to support local initiatives, charities, and programs that benefit artisans and small business owners

At the heart of our organization is a passion for supporting local creativity, encouraging entrepreneurship, and building meaningful community connections.
